About our School

The primary school is non-denominational and the catchment area is the village of Laurencekirk and the surrounding rural areas. The school’s current pupils roll is 312 with a further 70 pupils in the nursery.

There are currently twenty-one members of teaching staff: Head Teacher, two Depute Head Teachers, Principal Teacher and seventeen class teachers. They are supported on a daily basis by two school administrators, six nursery nurses, eight Pupil Support Assistants and three janitors.

There are also visiting music instructors and specialist teachers of learning and behaviour support, music, art, drama, PE and French.

The school has a very supportive Parent Council which supports school improvement activities and raises additional funds to provide many extras for the pupils in the school.
